Guitar, Electric Guitar, Electric Bass Private Lessons with Mr. Chris Connelly

Please note: This package is for FIVE EACH 30-MINUTE LESSONS
This package is grouped in 5 each 30-minute lessons which would occur weekly over a 5-week period. Lessons would occur after school between 3-5pm at either Woodbury Middle School or Nonnewaug High School. Call for availability. 
 
The student is responsible for renting or buying their own instrument. The instructor may require one or more instructional method books to be purchased before lessons start.  
 
Contemporary styles of acoustic and electric guitar such as pop, rock, blues, and jazz are taught based on student interest and skill level. Instructor covers rudimentary aspects of the instrument through technique, reading (notation and tablature), basic theory, and repertoire based on student interest. 
 
Chris Connelly is a professional guitarist actively performing and teaching throughout Connecticut. Adjacent to his background in music performance and education, Chris completed his Master of Social Work Degree from Sacred Heart University. Chris has taught in various music education settings such as Buck’s Rock Camp in New Milford, various School of Rock locations statewide, and West Main Music Academy in Cheshire, and directing the Rock Ensemble at Nonnewaug High School.

Chris currently works as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) at Woodbury Middle School and balances his time fervently performing with regional artists/acts such as Noah Feldman (R&B/Rock Singer/Guitarist), Pitchdrop (CT-based Pop/Rock Party Band), and Presence (Led Zeppelin Tribute Band).  

His approach to guitar instruction contains multitudes of contemporary styles – pop, rock, country, blues, jazz, and funk. Chris implores goal setting, constructive (and gentle!) criticism, and interpersonal communication is helping students not only further their guitar goals, but their overall musicianship. Adjacent to his social work background, Chris aspires to be a public-school music teacher within Region 14.
