2026 Memorial Day Parade
The Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting Woodbury's annual Memorial Day Parade on Sunday, May 24th. The Parade begins at 2:00pm. Line-up will begin at 1:00pm at the Woodbury Middle School. The Parade will take place rain or shine.
Please note: The parade will begin at 2:00pm from Woodbury Middle School, along Washington Avenue to Church Street, onto Main Street and ending at Cannon Green. There will be a Memorial Day Ceremony at Cannon Green immediately after the parade ends.
Please consider the following as you plan and design your parade float: The purpose of this parade is to observe the Memorial Day holiday. ALL are welcome and encouraged to participate and show their respect and gratitude. Memorial Day honors those brave men and women who gave their lives while serving our country. In that spirit and with respect for those who gave their lives for our freedom, we ask that your float theme represent “America United Together”.
If your organization would like to participate in the Memorial Day Parade, please register by May 15th.

Float Decorating Contest
We invite local businesses, organizations, families, clubs, and community groups to decorate a float and join the parade!
Annual Bike Brigade
Children of all ages are invited to take part in Woodbury's annual Memorial Day Bike Brigade!
Decorate your bicycles, wagons, scooters, or strollers in patriotic flair and join the parade down Main Street to Cannon Green. From streamers and flags to red, white, and blue creativity, the Bike Brigade has become a fun hometown tradition and a favorite part of the parade for families and spectators!
Parade Day Market
Join us before the parade for our new Parade Day Market at North Green from 11:30am - 1:30pm. This small, curated market will feature a select group of local vendors, handmade goods, flowers, sweet treats, coffee, live music and more. We invite the community to come into town early, stroll the vendor tables, enjoy the atmosphere, and find a spot along Main Street before the parade begins.
CT National Guard FlyoverThe Connecticut National Guard is scheduled to conduct a flyover over Cannon Green at approximately 2:30 pm as part of Woodbury's Memorial Day observances.
