Intro to Carving:  Hand-Carved Sunflower
Part of our "Traditions in Every Season" Series

Students will learn how to lay out a design using a pencil, ruler and compass.  They will then learn traditional carving techniques and carve their own wall hanging to take home.


All material is provided.

About Your Instructor - Rick Liegl
Rick is a master carver specializing in 17th century carving and joinery.  He enjoys carving  spoons and bowls from greenwood.  He also specializes in building 17th century boxes, chests and furniture from locally harvested wood.  Rick is often a guest presenter at the Eric Sloan Museum in Kent, CT and is the co-founder of Colonial Crafts of Connecticut located in Granby, CT.
