Holiday Stocking
Create a beautiful handmade Holiday stocking featuring a classic Sawtooth Star quilt block!

In this beginner-friendly sewing class, you’ll learn the basics of cutting, piecing, sewing, pressing, and finishing as you create your own festive stocking. You’ll work with a selection of fabrics to create the traditional Sawtooth Star design, then turn your finished piece into a special stocking ready to hang in your home.

Come enjoy a creative holiday evening and leave with a beautiful stocking made by you!

Quilted Table Runner
Create a beautiful quilted table runner to add a handmade touch to your home!

In this beginner-friendly sewing class, you’ll learn basic quilting and sewing techniques while creating your own table runner.

We’ll work step-by-step through cutting, piecing, pressing, and assembling your runner. You’ll have the opportunity to choose fabrics and make a project that reflects your own style.

• All materials are included.
• Beginner-friendly, with step-by-step instructions will be provided.

• No previous sewing or quilting experience is necessary.
• Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine.  A limited
   number of machines are available for those who need one.  Please contact
   Parks & Recreation in advance to request a machine.

Meet your instructor:

Moe Pershinsky
Moe Pershinsky is a Woodbury resident, avid sewist, and lifelong crafter who loves sharing her creativity and skills with others. She has experience creating a wide variety of handmade projects, from clothing and accessories to quilts, home décor, and gifts, and regularly participates in local craft shows and flea markets

Moe brings years of experience working with people, teaching, organizing, and paying attention to the little details that make learning something new feel approachable and rewarding.

Moe believes sewing is a skill that anyone can learn, regardless of age or experience level. Her classes are designed to be relaxed, encouraging, and hands-on, with students learning practical sewing techniques while creating projects they can be proud to take home.

After recently returning to Connecticut and settling in Woodbury, Moe is excited to become more involved in her community and share her love of sewing and crafting through Woodbury Parks & Recreation.



No refunds are given once a program has begun. If a program is canceled by us for lack of registration or any other reason, a full refund will be given.
