Have you wanted to try a new, non-sport contact sport but still have all the fun competition?  This model car club could be just the activity you have been looking for!   Children will bring their own electric radio-controlled car and compete with each other while learning the tactics and nuances of the sport!For ages 8 years and up. VIOLIN and VIOLA Private LessonsThe student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown.Note: These lessons are in six week sessions.

Come join the fun! Learn to line dance in a fun, non-judgmental atmosphere.  We will do some basic, traditional line dances plus many others will be introduced.  We will dance to both country and pop songs! No experience necessary, just a desire to have fun!  By the end of 6 weeks, you will know     7-10 different dances.  End the last 15 minutes with core/mat work.  Bring a mat, wear sneakers and comfortable clothes. One-time Intermediate Line Dance Class:  This class is designed for the individual with some basic line dancing background. Come join the fun in this class that will keep you smiling and in the aerobic zone for one full hour!Wear comfortable clothing, sneakers or boots, bring water. Nonnewaug Lacrosse is ready for the 2022 season!  You do not have to live in Woodbury to be part of this team. Several players go to schools where Lacrosse is not offered, we welcome you here. Registration is a multi-step process.YOU MUST BE REGISTERED WITH WOODBURY PARKS AND REC IN ORDER TO PRACTICE OR PLAY! You cannot step onto a practice or game field without being properly registered. Players must be in High School. Strong 8th graders can be considered for placement on the team. Annual US Lacrosse registration or renewal is required and must be completed during this registration process with Nonnewaug Lacrosse (nonnewauglax.com) . US Lacrosse registration/renewal costs are $30 for girls and $35 for boys and is payable directly by credit card to US Lacrosse during this online process. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown.Note: These lessons are in six week sessions.
